Savore ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Savore mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username and a securely hashed password. We do not collect your email address or real name unless you provide it voluntarily.
• Recipe Data: Recipes you create, import, or save within the app, including titles, ingredients, instructions, images, and categories.
• Grocery Lists: Items you add to your grocery list within the app.
• Photos & Screenshots: If you take a photo of a printed recipe or upload a screenshot, the image is sent to our server for AI-based recipe extraction. We do not store these images after processing.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app experience.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Savore app and its features
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To store and sync your recipes and grocery lists
• To process photos of printed recipes and uploaded screenshots for recipe extraction using AI
• To manage your subscription through RevenueCat
• To improve and optimize the app

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat: For subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers and purchase history. See their privacy policy.
• OpenAI: For AI-powered recipe extraction from photos and screenshots. Images are processed through OpenAI's API and are not stored after extraction. See their privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption. We use secure session management and take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

Data Retention

Your account data and recipes are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your recipes at any time within the app. You can also delete your entire account and all associated data from the Settings screen.

Children's Privacy

Savore is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and view your personal data within the app
• Delete your recipes and grocery lists at any time
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Manage your subscription through the App Store

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
